BIG NAZO is an international performance group of visual artists, puppet performers, and masked musicians. During BIG NAZO’s “Floating Painted Cardboard” Workshop, images are created through a collaborative drawing process that involves every participant responding to the evolving drawing instead of being concerned with a pre-conceived finished product. Once the “composite personas” are completed, they are cut out of the cardboard sheet and “freed” to move around the room and occupy space, creating contextual juxtapositions and abstract narratives in response to poetic literature.
