Wicked Brew, presented by Lehigh Valley Poetry
October 19 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm EDT
Lehigh Valley Poetry’s annual October event- Wicked Brew- will pair up again with the Easton Book Festival in a virtual poetry event that you won’t want to miss. (But if you do, it will be rebroadcast!)
Wicked Brew honors the seasonal vibe and invites participating poets to draw from their darker sources- the creepy, the macabre, the magical, the unexpected.
Hosts E. Lynn Alexander (Collapse Press, Lehigh Valley Poetry) and Darrell Parry (Stick Figure Poetry and Lehigh Valley Poetry) have invited guests to gather around the virtual cauldron:
Local poet Cleveland Wall, who helped launch the first brew in the Connexions Gallery courtyard, will share poems. Cleveland brings “keen whimsy”, imaginative mind-ulations, shenanigans.
Death Doula Missy Church, author of the forthcoming “Deathaiku”, explores themes of nature, transition, dignity, and honors the theme of dying with reflective honesty and candor as a part of life vs. a taboo subject.
Independent book seller and curator Karen Lillis will share fiction, as an honorary Eastonian who has been part of the Easton Book Festival since its inception.
Christopher T. George, who has been a guest at LVP programs and shared his presentation on the mystery surrounding the death of Edgar Allan Poe, will join us with a Poe-themed reading.
This will be a virtual event on zoom,
