Bill Ayers is an author, activist, and educator whose previous books include To Teach: The Journey of a Teacher and Teaching Toward Freedom: Moral Commitment and Ethical Action in the Classroom.

Melba Tolliver reported and anchored news at WABC-TV, WNBC-TV, and News 12 Long Island, and served as Howard R. Marsh visiting professor of journalism at the University of Michigan. Her memoir “Accidental Anchorwoman: A Memoir of Chance, Choice, Change, and Connection” won the 2024 National Association of Black Journalists Outstanding Book Award.
