Pool–Eckert began her career at WABC-TV in New York as producer from 1970 to 1974. From 1974 to 1975, she worked as a producer for WNET/l3 Public TV and moved to CBS News as an associate producer in 1975. Pool–Eckert functioned as a producer there from 1984 to 1990 and became the senior producer of Sunday Morning in 1990.
Howard Weinberg:
Founding Producer of The Robert MacNeil Report; Executive Producer of Listening to America with Bill Moyers; and Producer for CBS News Sunday Morning and Sixty Minutes, Weinberg’s credits include independent documentaries “Topless Cellist” Charlotte Moorman,net. LEARNING, Sid at 90, and Nam June Paik & TV LAB: License to Create, his current feature documentary that chronicles television’s first digital revolution.
Honored with Emmy, DuPont, Peabody, and other awards, Weinberg received Columbia Journalism School’s Alumni Award for Distinguished Achievement after he was Executive Producer of Listening To America with Bill Moyers, a 27-part election-year series that The New York Times proclaimed a “high watermark of televised politics” that “elevated the dialogue of democracy”.
As script-doctor, Weinberg consults with other filmmakers to clarify storylines and develop characters and advises on promotion and distribution.
