Future of Education panel discussion
November 7, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm EST
FreeChallenged by the Covid pandemic, people everywhere are rethinking where, when and how we do teaching and learning. It’s safe to say this is a time to re-think the aims of education not just of children, but of adults as well.
For Lisa Jackson, being appointed Education Coordinator for the Savannah African Art Museum last year just before the public health crisis struck created unexpected challenges and opportunities for the museum and for the former music industry executive.
Profiled in a recent edition of The Savannah Tribune, Lisa Jackson joins Gary L. Goss, associate professor emeritus, State University of New York, to talk with journalist, Melba Tolliver about learning environments, innovations and engaging experiences that educate.
Below is a link to our “And The Children Speak” Virtual Art Exhibit,” which aims to provide a platform where children’s voices and emotions can be expressed through their art during these challenging times. We are accepting submissions nationwide from children through the age of 18 (deadline 11/30).
