John Evans is a writer with a special interest in Mark Twain. In 1993, University Press of America published his first book, A Tom Sawyer Companion which explores Twain’s boyhood. A short story, “Getting the Bugs out of Tom Sawyer”, was included in Glencoe McGraw Hill’s 2000 Literary Library edition of Tom Sawyer. He has also reviewed books for the Mark Twain Forum and has written articles and personal essays. John has turned his energies to writing fiction. In 2003, his first novel “The Cut” was published by Beachhouse Books. His first mystery, “A Dead Issue”, was released by Sunbury Press in 2013. John lives in Bangor, Pennsylvania with his wife, daughter, and things that go bump in the night.
