“Does This Treadmill Make Me Look Fat? The Painfully True Story of Losing Weight and Gaining Perspective.”
Raised in Quakertown, PA, Allison now lives in Allentown with her amazing husband and their four equally fantastic feline fur babies. When not working on her next book about the trials and tribulations of the adoption process she and her husband are in the midst of, toiling away at her full time job, or sweating on the treadmill Allison can most commonly be found sitting at the dining room table working on her latest embroidery project or sipping libations and sharing stories on a patio or deck with friends and family
About "Does This Treadmill Make Me Look Fat? The Painfully True Story of Losing Weight and Gaining Perspective."
In her late 20’s Allison started down a path she was unready for both mentally and physically; and while it was scary it was also eye opening. While putting in countless hours of work on her mental health she realized that her physical health, specifically her weight, was directly related to how her brain works. So, after years of living a half life dictated by her weight and perception of herself she embarked on what will be a lifelong journey of not only weight loss, but self discovery. Through her Facebook group, which functions as more of an online journal that the public at large can read, Allison created an ongoing and ever more honest account of not only her weight loss journey, but her struggles with mental health, infertility, and living life as an obese woman in a world obsessed with appearance and outward beauty.
